Welcome to the Incident Command System 200.
This portion of ICS build upon what was learned during ICS 100. We will look at leadership and ICS management. Activation of ICS for simple to complex. How the general staff and command staff integrate into the mobilization process of the incident commander.

Incident Command System 200 -- Leadership and Management -- Unit 2
This unit will assist your ability relative to describing chain of command and a more formal communication relationship within the system. You will understand and identify common leadership responsibilities and work effectively with span of control issues. Finally, you will be able to describe modular development and incorporate position titles into the system at this level of operation.

This unit looks at the delegation of authority process and ICS scope of authority. We also address Management by Objective and the importance of preparedness plans and agreements.

Incident Command System 200 -- Functional Areas and Positions -- Unit 4
This unit looks for you to acquire the ability to describe the functions or organizational positions within the incident command system. We look at the ICS tools needed to manage an incident and demonstrate the use of an ICS Form 201, incident briefing.

This unit familiarizes you with the different types of ICS briefings and meetings. At the conclusion of this unit there will be an opportunity to practice presenting and effective operational briefing.

Incident Command System 200 -- Organizational Flexibility -- Unit 6
This unit focuses on flexibility within the standard ICS organizational structure. We demonstrate how ICS reflects the principles of management by objective. Finally, since every incident has different requirements we look at how the organizational structure should reflect only what is required to meet and support planned incident objectives.

It is important to demonstrate an appropriate transfer of command when operating with ICS. This unit addresses the process of transfer of command as well as the essential elements of information involved in transfer of command.
